Jackie Kallen is a boxing manager, promoter and journalist from the United States. She is known for breaking gender barriers in a male-dominated industry and for managing a number of successful boxers, including James Toney and Thomas Hearns. Kallen’s life and career was the inspiration for the 2004 film ‘Against the Ropes’, in which she was played by Meg Ryan. Kallen has also written several books on boxing, including her autobiography ‘Hit Me With Your Best Shot’.
